11:00 - We’re Up and Running At Daytona!
At about 10:40 this morning, the last damp spots hiding in the shadows on the top of the high banking finally dried out, and the green light lit up for the first time at the 2002 Dunlop Daytona Tire Test.
Immediately, a score of riders took to the track and 100 stopwatches began their relentless sweeps. As the riders cranked out their first few laps and re-entered the pits, dozens of intense discussions broke out, accompanied by a full array of hand motions.
Wrenches whirled at blurring speeds as mechanics executed quick adjustments, then it was back out onto the track.
