08:30 - Sun, Sun, Sun!
It’s 8:30 am on Wednesday at the Dunlop Daytona tire test, and perfect weather has arrived at long last. It’s a warm-feeling 62 degrees, sunny with a light breeze, perfect conditions for drying out the lingering wet patches on the track.
The teams all arrived early and the entire paddock area bustles with activity. A few minutes ago, the first machines arrived on the hot pit lane to warm up engines; Yoshimura Suzuki, Team Honda and Bruce Transportation Racing all earn the early-bird award for their efforts.
Surely you’ll notice the abundance of white bikes in our postings today. That’s not a new race fad, just an indicator of how early we are in the season. At this point, it’s the mechanicals that count; niceties such as paint and logos will follow.
